Crochet Hearts
Making crochet heart appliques is always fun to make any time of the year, especially for the month of February, which is the best time to make crochet hearts. I used the same pattern to make these hearts, The larger one, is the same pattern in my video tutorial. Here is a link to the video tutorial on youtube; https://youtu.be/6PmQ25TOMwQ I used bulky weight yarn to make the large one in pink with a 9 mm crochet hook. Then the smaller red and pink heart were made using a 4 ply worsted weight acrylic yarn. I used a size J-10 crochet hook to make the red heart applique that is in the picture and i used a size I-9 crochet hook to make the pink crochet heart and the variegated heart in comfy cotton. The one on the right with the variegated yarn, I used comfy cotton yarn. I think this one is my favorite one I made so far. I want to turn it into a square and make several squares to make a cardigan sweater.
Here is the video Tutorial that shows how to make the crochet hearts that are show in the photo above. I just used different yarns and different size crochet hooks. This heart is worked in rows rather than in rounds.
